Last week marked a significant milestone in my career – 10 years of holding a drone pilot licence!
Ten years ago, obtaining a drone pilot’s licence was a niche pursuit, often viewed as a hobby rather than a viable profession. Technology was in its infancy, regulations were sparse, and the potential applications were just beginning to be explored.
Fast forward to today, and the transformation is nothing short of remarkable; an integral part of various industries, drones are vital to industries from agriculture and logistics to surveillance and entertainment, revolutionising tasks and enabling new efficiencies and innovations.
I’m amazed at the technological advancements and the evolving landscape that have shaped the industry we see today. My biggest achievement has been watching my business, Drone Surveying, develop into something bigger than I could ever have expected.
As I reflect on this journey, I’m grateful for the opportunities, challenges, and experiences that have shaped my path. It will be interesting to see how further developments bring more exciting advancements to the industry.
